Roof Hatch Leaf
The hatch cover is made using an aluminum profile system filled with multi-wall polycarbonate panels featuring a UV filter.
In our roof hatches, we use clear, opal (milky), and combined multi-wall polycarbonate panels that meet the NRO/BROOF(t1) classification (non-fire spreading). A standard PVC clip mounted in the frame ensures excellent thermal insulation, effectively preventing heat loss.
Thickness range of polycarbonate
panels used: 10 – 33 mm
Roof Hatch Base
The bases of our roof hatches are made as standard from galvanized steel sheet with a minimum zinc coating of Z275 (275 g/m²) and a thickness ranging from 1.25 to 1.5 mm, depending on their height.
We use both straight and sloped bases in our roof hatches, with heights ranging from 150 to 750 mm. The bases are designed for external insulation with mineral wool, PIR boards, polystyrene, or other insulating materials up to 50 mm thick.
We also offer the option of painting the hatches and bases in any RAL color and providing corrosion protection in classes from C1 to C5-I.
Actuation
The following opening systems are used for roof hatches:
- 230V electric actuator with a stroke of 300 mm to 550 mm
- 230V tandem electric actuator with a stroke of 300 mm to 550 mm
- Manual screw opener with a 300 mm stroke
Base Flashing
We provide base flashing using membrane, roofing felt, and sheet metal in the RAL color matching the roof covering.

We operate a modern production line located in Dąbrowa Górnicza, which enables us to offer a wide range of daylighting, ventilation, and natural smoke extraction products tailored to individual requirements and project specifications.
Thanks to the extensive experience of our management team and the high qualifications of our installers, we are capable of tackling even the most challenging projects across Poland and Europe. We carry out complex jobs such as dismantling worn-out rooflights and smoke vents, installing new systems, and performing flashing and roofing work.
Roof Hatches – Applications
The primary function of a roof hatch is to allow quick and easy access to a building’s roof. They are used in a wide range of situations:
- By chimney sweeps inspecting flue systems
- By roofers carrying out repairs or maintenance
- By teams removing snow from rooftops
- By installers mounting antennas or photovoltaic panels
- By residents, e.g., for ventilating an attic or as an emergency escape route in the event of fire
According to building regulations, roof hatches are a mandatory element for buildings with at least two above-ground storeys—both residential and non-residential.
A roof hatch can also be considered part of a building’s ventilation system, for example, in an attic or industrial hall. This is another way to reduce operational costs. On hot days, opening the hatch allows air circulation and helps lower indoor temperatures—making air conditioning unnecessary and reducing energy expenses.
It’s also important to note that roof hatches significantly enhance safety. In the event of a fire, a hatch can serve as an emergency exit for occupants. Emergency services can also use it to facilitate rescue operations. Moreover, the hatch’s ventilation function helps remove smoke and harmful gases, and assists in lowering temperature levels.
Our product range includes roof hatches in sizes from 480×480 mm to 2000×3000 mm. We also manufacture custom sizes tailored to individual customer needs, such as the popular 630×720 mm hatch.
Roof Hatches as a Source of Natural Light
An additional benefit of roof hatches is their daylighting function. Installing them can reduce the need for artificial lighting. Access to natural sunlight lowers electricity consumption, which in turn reduces energy bills—making building operation more cost-effective. This solution is ideal for single-family homes, multi-family residences, public buildings, sports facilities, and industrial structures.
Insulated Roof Hatch for Heated Spaces
Roof hatches can also serve as roof windows, which is especially useful in habitable attics or top-floor apartments. An insulated roof hatch helps prevent energy loss, reducing the risk of heat escaping from the room—particularly important during the heating season.
